Moss Qureshi chose the charity to receive a £2,000 donation from Tisski this month, and this one is going to University Hospitals Birmingham Charity specifically towards helping people working on the front line with Covid-19.
Here’s a bit about the charity:
‘Across University Hospitals Birmingham, our 20,000 members of staff are working tirelessly to care for our patients. They are all going over and above to care for the most vulnerable people within society, and University Hospitals Birmingham Charity will give them all the support that it can through these coming weeks and months.
Any gift given to our NHS Superheroes Appeal will help us to support our hospitals over the coming months, whether that’s providing iPads for patients so that they can stay in touch with their families, or funding additional resources for members of staff.
The hospital charity funds equipment, research and training that are over and above that provided by the NHS. We also fund those “added extras” that help make a stay in hospital more comfortable for patients and their families.
Outside of these times of crisis we have also provided DVDs, pizza nights and private tutors for our Young Persons Unit, we have purchased state of the art equipment such as Cyberknife and Heart in a Box, and we have funded ground-breaking medical research.’
