Christmas is the one time of year when the majority of office based business work with skeleton staff cover or close down for a week at the least. So how do you keep your business ticking over when you are carving the turkey? Here is our five step guide to keep you on the nice list:

Social Media

Create engaging and festive social media content which can be pre planned and scheduled across your social media platforms for Christmas! Keep it light hearted and festive with a nod to what your business has to offer.

Use trending hashtags to make your posts and tweets more visible and stand out above the holiday noise! With friends and family having more time on their hands as they are out of the office, ensure that your content is shareable and relatable with your audience, who knows, your posts could go viral!

Work with Microsoft Social Engagement for Microsoft Dynamics 365 to Listen and react to your audience, take a look at the social media insights and see what they are sharing and engaging with a create content inline with this. Use Hootsuite, Sprout Social or TweetDeck to schedule posts, so you don’t have to worry about forgetting to post after a few mulled wines!
Keep those click throughs coming through to your website!

Out of Office

Ensure your entire workforce has their Out of Office on, once again – keep it festive and friendly. For example:

‘Merry Christmas! I am out of the office from 22nd December and I will be returning a few pounds heavier on 1st January 2018! Follow us on social media for the latest updates over the festive period: INSERT SOCIAL HANDLES’
By doing so, you are letting customers, suppliers and prospects best understand when they will receive replies.

Open Calendars

Share your calendars on Outlook to keep a track of your teams whereabouts over the festive period, so that you can see who is in and who is on holiday. This will help you to best understand which departments of your business are working and which are not, so that you can sort out any issues which may arise.

Data Capture

Lead Forensics is a helpful partner to Microsoft Dynamics 365 when it comes to tracking your customer and prospect behaviours online. Create a pop up on your homepage, with your festive holiday announcement along with a data capture form for visitors to type in their name and email address. You can then contact them in the new year with your latest products and predictions for 2018!
