Residents and businesses across Basildon, Billericay and Wickford are set to benefit from Basildon Borough Council’s new partnership with technology company, Tisski, who will be modernising the council’s IT systems, including those associated with Waste Services.
The programme – based around Microsoft Dynamics 365 technology – will see a number of current systems migrated to a single, cloud-based platform, removing time-consuming processes for council employees and providing residents and businesses with a refined customer experience.
“We have three clear principles for transforming the way we provide services across the borough, aiming to simplify, standardise and automate, giving greater value to the public. Part of this programme will be focused on our recently approved waste strategy and will help us move away from paper-based processes to a digital, environmentally friendly service.” Scott Logan
Chief Executive at Basildon Borough Council
Anna Assassa, CEO at Tisski, said: “Basildon Council’s vision for the borough puts its citizens at the heart of transformation and will set the standard for other organisations across the country. We have worked closely with the council’s team to explore the art of the possible and look forward to helping them deliver a service that residents and businesses across the borough will be proud of.”
Tisski’s Business Development Manager, John Fawcett, added: “The Microsoft platform provides Basildon Council with a solution that is modern, customer-focused and flexible. The system will enable the council to not only meet the demands of today, but those of the future as the borough continues to flourish.”
