At Tisski, we’ve always been passionate about giving people the opportunity to develop long and rewarding careers in the technology industry.
We’re currently working alongside Basildon Borough Council; it was through this work that we became aware of the Kickstart Scheme - a government initiative that provides funding to employers to create job placements for 16 to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit and facing a period of long-term unemployment.
Kickstart requires wraparound support from employers to be built into each placement, providing basic skills training to the young people who take part and preparing them for life in employment beyond the Kickstart Scheme. For each placement offered, an organisation receives £1,500 to fund the wraparound support needed.
Last month, Tisski was delighted to be accepted onto the scheme after Basildon Borough and Coventry City Councils approved two placements.
While the Kickstart Scheme requires roles to run for six months, we’re looking to recruit two young people into resource administration and service desk administration roles with the hope that they’ll stay with Tisski for many years to come.
We believe the Kickstart Scheme offers young people a great opportunity to find rewarding roles with supportive employers. We’re proud to be a part of it, and are looking forward to helping two new members of our team hit the ground running and kickstart their careers in tech.
These vacancies are now live and we wish the best of luck to those making an application.
