This month, our £2,000 charity donation was given to the Stray Cat Rescue Team West Midlands, an amazing cause chosen by Solution Architect, Lewis Ginn, who comes from a family of cat lovers.
The Stray Cat Rescue Team West Midlands (SCRT) was formed by a small group of like-minded cat lovers in August 2018. They are a completely voluntary, self-funded rescue, working in the Birmingham and Wolverhampton areas to help give stray cats in desperate need the best chance of a happy, fulfilled life.
The volunteer teams work in their spare time to trap, rescue, neuter and rehome stray cats whose lives and futures depend on them. They rely entirely on donations, which allow them to provide essential care for all their foster cats. The team also work alongside other rescues and organisations to ensure every cat can get the correct care, including vet treatment if needed.
Once the rescued cats have been neutered and any other required treatment has been given, the rescue puts them up for adoption – detailing their rescue stories and providing ongoing updates to anyone interested. The rescue team prides itself in finding the best homes possible for the cats, making sure it’s a great fit for both the cat and the person looking to adopt, so they can give them the life they deserve.
If you’d like to find out more about the great work the rescue team are doing and how you can support them with a donation, please head to the Stray Cat Rescue Team West Midlands website.
