This May, our Dynamics 365 ERP Developer, Dara Sor, was given the opportunity to choose who would receive Tisski’s £2,000 donation – and there were so many charities he felt passionate about supporting, that he decided to share the donation between four.
As a result, the British Red Cross, WWF, the RSPCA and MindOut have each received £500 from Tisski this month.
The British Red Cross was Dara’s first choice, due to the support they offer not just in the UK but around the world, when crisis strikes. From supporting refugees and those living in areas of war and conflict, to providing help and advice to victims of modern slavery and trafficking, the British Red Cross provide lifelines for people in their time of need.
Next up was the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), formerly known in the UK as the World Wildlife Fund. Protectors of the natural world, WWF campaign to tackle the climate crisis, make our food system more sustainable and protect natural habitats for living creatures around the world.
Thirdly, Dara wanted to offer support for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). The charity work tirelessly for animal rights, care for those who have been abandoned or mistreated, and make efforts in educating people on animal cruelty and influencing legislation which impacts on animal welfare.
Finally, Dara chose to support a cause local to him: MindOut, a Brighton-based charity providing mental health support and services to members of the LGBTQ community. MindOut provide safe spaces for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer people to receive support, work to prevent isolation and distress in the community, and strive to open up conversations about LGBTQ mental health around the world.
