Why I love working for Tisski:

So many reasons! Anna and the rest of the leadership team inspire you to inspire others and the family element really makes us feel like we’re all one team, plus the support that we get is outstanding.

Fave thing about the tech industry:

I’ve been in the technology industry for over 35 years and seen how IT constantly changes and evolves. My objective is to ensure these changes are for the betterment of humanity, so I stay in IT to ensure we remain mindful and ethical about what we do.

Proud of:

Training over 500 users for a new system and fundamentally changing the way they do business. Also, training two apprentices and then seeing them flourish and ‘fly’ on their own was and still is a massive reward for me.

Biggest fear I’ve overcome:

When I was young, I watched ‘Jaws’, which made me afraid of being in deep dark water with sharks all around me - but I started learning a lot about them and planned a diving holiday where I could face my fears. I ended up doing just that and in the mid-90s I went diving with them in the Maldives. When I saw them in their own environment, showing off the grace of their movement, the absolute beauty in their design, I was amazed. I learnt that fear was only ignorance on my part and that I shouldn’t believe everything as portrayed in films.
