November 2020 Charity Donation

This month’s charity donation was chosen by Maria Green, one of our Service Desk Consultants. Her chosen cause, the Alice Charity, is a local charity who help families of Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme in times of need. 

From a cup of tea and the chance to talk, to providing school uniforms for underprivileged children, the Alice Charity helped over 1,300 families in crisis last year and, with no government funding, rely entirely on donations. 

Founded by Steph Talbot and Emily Petts in 2011 in response to the lack of available support for disadvantaged families in their local area, the mother-daughter duo wanted to make sure the most vulnerable families across Stoke and Newcastle had access to the kind of support they had received from their family.   

“I am beyond delighted that November’s donation has gone to a charity I hold very dear,” Maria said. “I know for a fact that the donation will make a massive difference to the families the Alice Charity support, especially at this time of year so I’d like to say ‘thank you from the bottom of my heart’ to Tisski.”
