Earlier this month, Tisski’s Chief Operations Officer (COO), Ben Austen, took part in the Yorkshire Marathon in order to raise funds for a charity close to his heart: St Barnabas Hospice.
Based in Lincolnshire, St Barnabas Hospice provide palliative and end-of-life care to adults with terminal or life-limiting illness.
In 2018/19, St Barnabas spent £12.153 million on specialist inpatient care, bringing care directly to patients in their own homes, and funding activity to enhance awareness of the charity and how to raise further funds.
When Ben announced that he was participating in the Yorkshire Marathon to raise funds for St Barnabas, Tisski was only too happy to support, offering Ben their £2,000 charity spend for the month.
Ben said: “St Barnabas is a charity local to me, and they’re particularly important to me as they provided care for a close relative, supporting my family through a difficult time with kindness and compassion.
“I’m incredibly grateful to Tisski for the hugely generous donation, and to members of the team who have given so generously, as well.”
We’d like to say a big ‘congratulations’ to Ben, who completed his marathon in an impressive 3 hours and 48 minutes!
