We’ve worked with the Lead for the National Burglary Portfolio, Doug Blackwood, to create a Power App that puts experience in the palm of every officer.
Built on the Microsoft Power Platform, the Burglary Investigation Power App has been created in close partnership with Humberside Police Detective Chief Inspector and Lead for the National Burglary Portfolio, Doug Blackwood, the College of Policing, and frontline officers.
Available out-of-the-box via the Police Digital Service solutions catalogue, this simple and intuitive app provides a series of templated questions allowing officers to record incident specifics, conduct house-to-house enquiries and take photographic evidence all in one place.
The app also provides guidance on bespoke victim support, and arms operational personnel with a means to monitor nationwide trends, encouraging and informing a proactive approach to tackling incidents of this nature.

The Burglary Investigation Power App sits alongside our broader Power Apps for Policing offering, launched in partnership with Cumbria and Durham Constabularies in 2021. Power Apps for Policing comprises a collection of apps each designed to address a particular need or common challenge faced by police forces around the country. From recording witness statements to accessing vehicle information at the roadside, we've got your officers covered.
